東北地方太平洋沖地震を受けブータン国王陛下から義捐金の寄付がありました。

今般の東北地方太平洋沖地震を受けて，本18日（金曜日），ジグメ・ケサル・ブータン国王陛下（H.M. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck）から義捐金100万米ドル（約8，000万円）の寄付がありました。
ブータンからの義捐金は，日本赤十字社を通じて被災者に渡る予定です。
ブータンからは，ケサル国王陛下及びティンレイ首相からお見舞いの書簡を頂いています。
また，地震直後の12日（土曜日）には，国王陛下主催のお祈りを捧げる式典が開催され，13日（日曜日）には，ティンレイ首相や全閣僚，上院下院両議長等多数が出席するお祈りを捧げる式典も開催されました。
我が国政府は，ブータン政府及び国民の我が国に対する連帯の念及び多大なる支援に深く感謝致します。

1.His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Kingdom of Bhutan, made a donation of one million US dollars on March 16 regarding the Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake.
2.The donation will be made to Japanese Red Cross Society to support those affected by the earthquake.
3.His Majesty the King and Prime Minister Lyonchhoen Jigme Y. Thinley sent messages of sympathy and condolences. On March 12, His Majesty the King held a thousand butter lamp lighting ceremony and offered prayers. On March 13, Prime Minister, all cabinet ministers and the speaker of both Houses offered prayers. The Government of Japan deeply appreciates sense of solidarity and assistance expressed by the Government and people of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
